definitely NOT a Dragonforce title reference
It was another hot, dry summer day over at the Fireworks Factory where the Techs had successfully completed all their daily tasks. Sprocket was on the top floor just fixing up the last oily pipe with her wrench, hoping to return home afterwards and work on something a bit more creative. Perhaps design a new robot, or fix up any loose ends that were coming undone on her present inventions. But no one expected there to be a combustion in the heat, leading to the undeniable smell of smoke and the erupting of a fire.
Immediately, the Water Skylanders poured in with Zap in the lead, suited up in Fireman's clothing as they all swarmed around the factory and began hosing it down. The flames soared, and caught the attention of others--two of which being Spyro and Sparx.
"What do you suppose happened?" Sparx asked with a shudder, gazing up at the roaring fire.
"It could have been anything, but it looks pretty bad." Spyro replied, flaring his wings. "Let's see if they need any help."
But of course, when Spyro made his way over the Water Skylanders pushed him back, along with a few others who were swarming around to see. "You all need to stay back!" Zap blurted in his bubbly, dolphin-like voice. "We're trying to put it out and we can't have anymore injuries."
One by one, Drobot, Trigger Happy, Boomer, Drill Seargent, and so on piled out from the house. Some were being carried by Slam Bam while others made it out on their own, save for a hand being cuffed over their face. Even Bouncer crashed out in one piece, only riddled with minor burn marks on his golden metal. Once he rolled his way out, parts of the factory began to collapse inwards. "WOOO! Guys I ain't seen NOTHIN like that in ages!" he yelled with a jump.
Drobot skimmed everyone who made it out okay, but his eyes widened when he realized something was wrong. "...There's only nine of us. Where's Sprocket?"
At that point, the Skylanders began muttering nervously to each other while Spyro gazed up as the flames worsened around the collapsing tower. He didn't know Sprocket too well; knew her by face, and was a bit ticked off by the way she'd ruined Swap Force for him with her "swapping groins" joke. But the fact that another ally of his was caught in one of the worst fires they'd seen in years, Spyro braced himself and refused to listen to any orders as he crashed into the burning building. Behind him, Zap, Slam Bam and Punk Shock screamed "WAIT!" but he tuned them out.
Sparx stood frozen on the spot as he watched his adopted-brother vanish into the building, but then glared at Zap. "We've all been through worse situations--even me, and I'm not a Skylander!" he told them, and quickly buzzed off to join Spyro's side.
It took a while for the two of them to reach the red-haired Golding, but when Spyro recognized her figure through the smoke, she was unconscious and there was a clear reason why she hadn't made it out: the building had collapsed inwards right in front of her, her wrench on the other side, and she was trapped. Spyro hadn't mastered the other elements as well as he had with Fire, but he used what he could to blast a ball of snow towards the burning wood. Once he was able to tame the flames, he rammed through the rubble and Sparx helped him hang Sprocket over his back.
"Now we have to go, ol' Noble One." Sparx told him, and Spyro wasn't about to hesitate.
Special thanks to
for helping me with Sprocket's legs. It's a wee bit difficult to draw legs, epseically in certain poses like the limp way they're dragging behind her. It's really appreciated, Koof!
Anywaaaaaiz, I hope you guys enjoy!
I've been trying a new shading style recently and I'm really enjoying it.
I HAVE TO CUT THIS SHORT BECAUSE MY PARENTS ARE DRAGGING ME OUT OF THE HOUSE TO GO VISIT MY GRANDMA. BUT...AT LEAST I'M NOT GETTING DRAGGED OUT LIKE POOR SPROCKET HERE ^3^ Spyro/Sparx/Sprocket (c) Activision
